Ratio and Proportion By Dalip and Paige

This morning we where learning all about ratio and proportiotion ratio. Ratio is when you compare two amounts of something. E.g 2 green furbles and 6 blue furbles we would write G:B and then write under neath 2 with green and 6 with blue and that is a Ratio. Also we have learnt to do a proportion this is just a fancy word for fractions E.g we have in total 45 furble and we have 6 green furbles just write 6 on top and 45 under neath. That is a proportion of the total number.
You could use this for boys and girls in the class or sheep and lambs or to make a drink.I hope you have learnt from our post.

Ratio and proprtion is fun!
